Curious about foraging or eager to learn the science behind mushrooms and our area’s spring species? Join us for an “Intro to Safe Mushroom Hunting & Further Identification” class and guided hike led by local amateur Mycologist and passionate Mushroom Hunter Daniel Foshee at Stackhouse Park.

You’ll learn how to safely identify and harvest wild mushrooms and the spring species our area has to offer, guided by Daniel’s expert insights and passion for mycology.

What to Expect:

• Interactive Class: Daniel Foshee will share his knowledge and tips for safe and successful mushroom hunting.
• Guided Hike: Apply your knowledge on a guided hike, where you’ll spot and identify the fungi growing within the heart of Stackhouse Park.
