Do you know it takes over 2 months for dog waste to decompose naturally? During that time, it introduces bacteria and disease into the soil and water. Boy Scout Zachary Davis-Reese, representing Troop 622 in Roxbury, is planning to install four pet waste stations (as shown in the picture below) in Stackhouse Park as part of his Eagle Scout project. Each station will cost approximately $200 to install. Zachary is asking for donations to help him purchase all the necessary materials and supplies. If you're interested in making a donation to help fund Zachary's project, please remit a check to Stackhouse Park, Inc. (with the memo “Waste Stations” noted on the check) and mail your contribution to Stackhouse Park, 998 Luzerne Street, Johnstown, PA 15905.
Zachary hopes to have his project completed this summer. Comments are closed.
