Powell Stackhouse Park, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization. Each year we seek your support for continued operation of Powell Stackhouse Park. The Park is owned by the City of Johnstown, yet the City provides no financial support for maintenance, operations, or programming. Our expenses are underwritten by those who support us each year.

Stackhouse Park is a reality because of the generosity and support of its members and contributors. The park receives no area, state or federal dollars or grants. Stackhouse is truly the people’s park. It survives only through member and donor contributions, which are tax-deductible.

So, thank you to everyone who understands the importance of protecting and ensuring the future of this precious natural gem and who has financially supported the park.

How Member Dues & Contributions are Used

All membership dues and contributions, unless otherwise designated by the donor, are used for park 2012-07-27 12.13.34operation and maintenance.

Contributions are deposited and administered by the Community Foundation of Greater Johnstown, with income directed toward park activities. The sustaining fund ensures the perpetuity of Stackhouse Park as a nature preserve.
